Enhancing urban connectivity through strategic traffic planning and infrastructure design for Dubai’s expanding metro network.
The brief
The Dubai Metro Blue Line is a major public transport expansion in Dubai, designed to strengthen connectivity between emerging and previously less-connected communities across the city. Spanning approximately 30 km with multiple new stations, the project plays a key role in supporting Dubai’s long-term mobility strategy by improving accessibility, reducing road congestion, and promoting sustainable transportation.
Scope of Work
RTC delivered a comprehensive Traffic Impact Study to evaluate the mobility requirements and transportation impacts associated with the new metro stations. In addition, our team provided detailed design services for roads and utility infrastructure supporting the Blue Line stations, ensuring efficient access, safe circulation, and seamless integration with the surrounding road network. These services contributed to improving connectivity and supporting the continued expansion of Dubai’s public transport system.
